Skin overview

In Minimal Wear the ★ Bowie Knife | Doppler (Phase 1) keeps the same blue, purple and pink marbling with its smoky dark areas. The grade sits at the very top of the float range, so any marks stay faint and usually only show on close inspection near the tip or along the saw teeth. It is a way to own the Phase 1 colouring on this large knife while accepting tiny signs of use.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The whole blade, including the clipped point and the sawback spine, is covered in a marbled pattern of blue, violet and pink under a glossy candy coat, with darker cloudy areas scattered through the colour. The swirls differ from copy to copy, so the balance between blue, pink and the dark patches changes with the pattern.

Wear is limited to tiny specks at the very tip of the blade and on the edges of the saw teeth. The main body of the blade, the colour transitions and the gloss look the same as on Factory New. At normal viewing distance in game the difference is practically unnoticeable. The grip and the red guard and pommel remain clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of ★ Bowie Knife | Doppler Phase 1 is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the pattern, since the share of blue, pink and dark areas on the blade differs between copies.
  • Check where the float sits within the grade, as it decides whether any specks show at the tip.
  • Inspect the tip and the saw teeth on the spine, the parts that lose coating first.
  • Confirm whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, if that matters to you.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the same colours in game and do not mind faint marks at the tip.
  • Buyers who pick a copy mainly by pattern and accept the slightly higher float.
  • Conclusion: a practical way to get the Phase 1 look with nearly invisible wear.
