Skin overview

In Battle-Scarred, Urban Masked turns into a mostly steel-coloured knife with remnants of white and grey paint and traces of the beige band. The pattern survives mainly in the middle of the blade and on the less exposed parts of the handle. It is the most affordable way to own this knife.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The blade is covered in soft white and light blue-grey spray paint with blurred transitions, as if applied through masking tape. A wavy beige band follows the spine and runs down towards the edge near the tip, giving the finish its recognisable tape-stencil outline.

Most of the paint on the edge, tip, spine and guard is gone, leaving the knife largely steel-coloured. The beige band survives only in fragments, and the handle checkering is worn down on its raised parts. In game the camouflage is barely noticeable, the knife reads as plain metal with pale traces. Remnants of white paint remain mainly in the centre of the blade.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position within the wear, because the tip and edge lose paint first and lower floats keep them cleaner.
  • Look at the beige band along the spine on the inspect screen to see how much of the stencil outline survives.
  • Inspect the handle checkering and guard edges, which show rubbing on worn copies.
  • Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version and check if a name tag is applied.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget buyers looking for the most affordable entry to this knife.
  • Players who like a near-steel look with pale traces of paint.
  • The entry option when owning the knife matters more than the finish.
