Skin overview

This is a red and black web finish on a hooked-blade knife with grey handle scales. Well-Worn copies show large silver patches where the red has flaked off, especially at the spine, the hook and the base of the blade. The overall red colour remains, while parts of the web pattern start to break up.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The blade, including the gut hook on the spine, is painted red with a black spider-web hydrographic and a semi-gloss topcoat. The serrated section of the spine and the bolster area near the handle carry the same red finish.

Silver patches grow larger on the spine, the hook and the blade base, and spread toward the centre of the blade. Parts of the web lines are broken by the wear. In game the knife looks clearly used, with metal visible through the red. The red remains the dominant colour on most of the blade.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a lower value keeps more red on the spine and hook.
  • Look at the web placement on the blade, as the number and position of webs differ between copies.
  • Inspect the gut hook, spine and blade base, because the paint chips there first.
  • Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it has a name tag.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Players who want this knife and accept visible metal through the paint.
  • Buyers who prefer a used look over a clean finish.
  • Conclusion: suits those who value the knife itself more than the condition.
