★ Gut Knife | Damascus Steel pairs a grey layered-steel blade with a reddish-brown wooden handle. The flowing damascus lines run across the whole blade up to the gut hook on the spine. In Factory New the pattern is crisp and even, and the polished cutting edge contrasts cleanly with the darker steel.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Factory New
The whole blade carries a grey damascus pattern of fine wavy layers, from the tip to the ricasso and up the spine with its gut hook and serrations. The cutting edge is a lighter polished band that frames the pattern along the belly of the blade. The handle is reddish-brown wood with three metal pins, ending in a dark steel pommel with a lanyard ring. The colour scheme stays muted: cool steel against warm wood. On worn copies the scratches show first on the blade, especially along the edge, the tip and the hook, while the patterned steel slowly loses its contrast.
The blade is clean, with sharp damascus lines and an evenly bright edge. The gut hook and the spine serrations show no marks. In game the knife looks crisp in hand, with clear contrast between the patterned steel and the polished edge.

What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the edge and tip show the difference first.
- Look at the pattern layout on the blade, because the placement of the damascus swirls differs between copies.
- Inspect the gut hook and the spine serrations up close for scratches.
- Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ or carries a name tag, as both change how the knife is valued by other buyers.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the clearest damascus pattern and a clean edge.
- Players who inspect their knife often and notice small details.
- Conclusion: the choice for maximum crispness of the finish.
