Skin overview

This is the Phase 1 variant of the Gamma Doppler finish on the Gut Knife: green anodized metal with silvery marbled patches and the signature hook on the spine. At Minimal Wear the colours keep their depth, and any marks are small enough to stay hidden during normal play. It is a way to own this phase while accepting slight traces that show up mostly on close inspection.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The blade carries the whole finish: the spine, the gut hook and the serrated section are a rich emerald green, while the lower half and the belly toward the tip fade into pale silver-blue marbling with fine dark veins. The transition between green and silver follows the curve of the edge and gives the blade a liquid, layered look.

Light scuffs may appear at the very tip and in spots along the cutting edge, where the candy coat starts to thin first. The serration teeth can show tiny bright points on close inspection. At normal viewing distance in game the blade looks practically the same as Factory New. The green spine, the hook area and the handle remain clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of ★ Gut Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1 is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

StatTrak™ version

There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the range, since lower values keep the tip and edge cleaner.
  • Look at how the green and the silver marbling are distributed on the blade, because this phase varies from copy to copy.
  • Inspect the tip and the serration teeth up close, as these are the first places the coating wears.
  • Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, as both change how the item is valued.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the same look in game without paying for a perfect blade.
  • Buyers who accept tiny marks on the tip and edge visible only up close.
  • A sensible way into this phase with almost no visual compromise.
