★ Huntsman Knife

Overview

★ Huntsman Knife in its vanilla form carries no finish, just the bare factory steel and a dark grip. It is recognised by its tanto point, the row of saw teeth along the spine and the deep finger grooves in the handle. With no paint applied, every copy shows the same clean, neutral look.

This is the vanilla Huntsman Knife: the unpainted look of the item in CS2. Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance

The blade is plain grey steel with a lightly mottled, stonewashed surface and a brighter polished bevel running along the cutting edge and up to the tanto point. A thin dark groove runs along the flat of the blade, and the spine carries a row of saw teeth behind the tip. The guard is a solid steel piece with a loop at its lower end, and a small green dot sits near the base of the blade. The handle is dark grey to black with a fine diagonal texture, metal screws and pronounced finger grooves. Since there is no painted finish, nothing wears off: the vanilla knife has no float and looks the same on every copy.

Origin of the skin

It is the rare special item of Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014) — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What to look at before you buy

• Vanilla knives have no float or wear, so condition is identical on every copy and you only compare offers.
• Check whether the listing is a StatTrak™ version, since it carries a kill counter and differs from the standard knife.
• Look at the name tag if one is applied, because a custom name stays with the item.
• Make sure the listing is the vanilla knife and not a painted finish with a similar dark look.

Who it suits

• Players who want a knife with a clean factory look and the full Huntsman animations without a loud pattern.
• Collectors who like the original steel version of each knife model.
• Buyers who do not want to think about float, since every copy looks the same.
• In short, a calm, uniform choice for those who value the knife shape itself.
