In Factory New the print is at its sharpest: the colour patches have crisp borders and the blade reads as a solid field of cool blue. Appearance in Factory New

The blade, from the tanto point to the serrated spine, is covered in a blotchy camouflage of deep navy, medium blue and pale teal-grey, with light silver speckles near the tip and cutting edge that are visible even on a clean copy. The same print continues onto the finger guard with its lanyard hole, so the blue wraps around the front of the handle. The grip itself stays black with finger grooves and a fine textured rear section, accented by small blue fasteners. On worn copies the paint goes first along the cutting edge, at the tip, on the sawback teeth and on the rim of the guard ring, exposing silver steel. The black grip changes little, so wear is read almost entirely on the blade.

The camo is intact across the whole blade, the spine teeth and the guard. Edges of the colour patches are crisp and the blue tones look deep and even. In game the knife reads as a clean, uniformly blue blade at any distance. The silver speckles near the tip belong to the print itself, not to wear.
