Skin overview

In Field-Tested the blue camo is still clearly recognisable, but silver steel starts to show along the blade edge and near the tip. The dark handle with its blue inset panels holds up well, so the overall blue-and-black silhouette stays intact. At normal viewing distance the knife looks used rather than damaged.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The curved blade is fully covered in a hydrographic camo of navy, medium blue and pale icy-blue blotches, with a thin silver cutting edge along the inner curve. The handle is a dark charcoal grip with deep finger grooves, framed by blue textured inset panels that echo the blade colour.

Bare steel shows along the edge, at the tip and in places on the spine, and light scuffs appear on the outer rim of the finger ring. The camo on the flat of the blade is still mostly intact and readable. In game the wear registers as light silver flashes during the inspect animation. The dark grip and blue panels look nearly untouched.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the wear grade, since a low float keeps more paint on the tip and edge.
  • Look at the tip and spine of the blade in the inspect view, where scratches appear first.
  • Compare the camo placement on the blade, as the hydrographic falls slightly differently from copy to copy.
  • Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag you want to keep.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want the blue camo clearly readable at a more moderate grade.
  • Buyers who like a little silver edge wear on a knife.
  • A balanced middle option for everyday play.
