Skin overview

★ M9 Bayonet | Gamma Doppler (Phase 4) covers the blade in a cyan and teal marbled finish, with green and blue-violet clouds drifting through the colour. In Factory New the candy coat is glossy and unbroken from the tip to the guard, so the marbling stays crisp and saturated. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the pattern exactly as it was painted.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear.

Appearance in Factory New

The blade is fully coated in an anodized cyan base with darker marbled veins, green patches near the middle and blue-violet clouds closer to the edge and tip. The serrated spine, the cut-out hole and the crossguard with its ring share the same teal tone, so the colour runs uninterrupted up to the handle. The grip is black ribbed rubber with a teal-tinted pommel cap at the end. On worn copies the first marks appear on the tip, the cutting edge and the spine teeth, where the candy coat thins and lighter metal begins to show.

The candy coat is intact on the blade, guard and pommel, with no visible scratches even at the tip. The marbling keeps sharp contrast between the cyan base, the green areas and the darker veins. In game the blade reads as a clean, glossy blue-green surface from any angle. Copies near the top of the range can show the faintest trace on the tip only under close inspection.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of ★ M9 Bayonet | Gamma Doppler Phase 4 is 0–0.08; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (88% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the range, since copies at the cleaner end keep the tip completely unmarked.
  • Compare inspect screenshots, because the balance of green, cyan and blue-violet on the blade varies between patterns.
  • Look closely at the tip and the spine teeth, as these are the first places where the coat breaks.
  • Note whether there is a name tag and whether the copy is StatTrak™, as both change the look of the inspect view.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the Phase 4 colours with an untouched coat.
  • Players who inspect their knife often and want a flawless tip and spine.
  • The choice for anyone who wants this knife in its cleanest state.
