Skin overview
★ Nomad Knife | Case Hardened is a folding hunting knife whose blade carries a heat-treated pattern of blue, purple and gold. In Factory New the colours sit on a clean, even surface, so every transition between blue and gold reads sharply. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the pattern exactly as the finish was made.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The finish covers the blade of the Nomad Knife with a heat-tempered pattern: blue and purple patches spread from the tip, while warmer gold and beige tones gather toward the spine and the guard area. The handle keeps a polished steel-grey frame with a pivot screw and a row of small screws, and black textured composite inserts fill the grip. The ratio of blue to gold depends on the pattern, so two copies can look quite different. On worn copies the edge and the tip lose finish first, followed by the flat of the blade near the cutting line.
The blade is free of visible scratches, and the blue, purple and gold areas meet with crisp, clean transitions. The edge and the tip keep their full colour. In game the knife reads bright and glossy when inspected. The steel frame and black inserts of the handle look as on the image.

What to check before buying
- Look at the pattern on both sides of the blade, since the amount of blue versus gold changes from copy to copy.
- Check where the float sits within the grade, because lower values keep the edge and tip cleaner.
- Inspect the cutting edge and tip closely, as these lose colour first.
- Check for a name tag if you prefer the original item name.
Who should buy Factory New
- Collectors who want the pattern with no scratches at all.
- Players who inspect their knife often and want the brightest colours.
- The choice for a clean, complete look of the finish.
