Skin overview

★ Nomad Knife | Damascus Steel puts a layered, wavy steel pattern on the broad blade of the Nomad Knife. The pale blue-grey and white swirls run the full length of the blade, set against a light metal frame and a black composite grip. In Factory New the etched lines are crisp and high-contrast, and the blade has an even, cool sheen.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Appearance in Factory New

The broad clip-point blade carries the whole finish: a wavy, layered damascus pattern in pale blue-grey and white that flows from the base to the tip, including the serrated section near the guard. The bolster and frame stay in plain light steel with a dark pivot screw and a row of small holes, and they contrast with the black textured composite insert on the grip. The pattern is laid out differently from copy to copy, so the density and direction of the swirls vary. On worn copies the tip, the cutting edge and the spine lose contrast and scratch first, and the etched lines fade toward an even grey.

The damascus lines are sharp and bright across the whole blade, with clear separation between light and darker bands. The tip and edge show no scratches, and the handle frame keeps a clean, even steel tone. In game the swirls are clearly visible even in normal first-person view. Everything on the knife looks untouched.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of ★ Nomad Knife | Damascus Steel is 0–0.5; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (14% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

It is the rare special item of Fever Case — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.
