Skin overview

This wear gives the same sooty look of the ★ Paracord Knife | Scorched as the cleanest grade: dark smoke on the blade, light flecks along the edge, and a grey-white paracord grip. Any marks are tiny and usually limited to the tip and the cut-outs, which are hard to spot in first-person view. It is the practical way to get an almost untouched finish.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The blade is sprayed in a smoky gradient: near-black along the spine and tip, fading to lighter grey with white speckles towards the cutting edge. The long slot and the cut-outs near the guard sit in the darker zone and frame the pattern.

Light scuffs may appear at the very tip and along the edges of the cut-outs. The flat of the blade and the gradient stay intact. The handle looks the same as on Factory New. At normal viewing distance the difference from the cleanest grade is hard to see.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of ★ Paracord Knife | Scorched ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 11% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the cleaner end of a grade keep more paint on the tip and edge.
  • Inspect the tip and the cutting edge first, as these lose paint before the rest of the blade.
  • Look at the area around the long slot and the cut-outs, where scuffs show early.
  • Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, if that matters to you.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
  • Buyers who rarely inspect the knife up close.
  • Conclusion: the best balance of condition and cost.
