Skin overview

These push daggers are recognisable by their red anodized body and the grey bevel that wraps around a red inlay on each blade. In Field-Tested the red begins to show light scuffs on the handle edges and cutouts, while the overall colour still reads clearly. It is a practical middle point for someone who wants the red knife in hand rather than a showcase copy.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The handles of both daggers are anodized in a bright red with open cutouts and pointed wings, carrying a small dark emblem near the base. Each blade has a dark grey, slightly textured bevel running along both edges and the tip, with a red inlay on the flat that continues the colour of the handle.

Scuffs become visible around the handle cutouts, on the wing tips and on the guard points, with small spots of bare metal. The edge of the red inlay where it meets the grey bevel starts to show light chipping. The centre of the handles and most of the inlay remain solid red. In game the knife still reads as clearly red, with wear noticeable mainly on inspect.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of ★ Shadow Daggers | Autotronic is 0–0.85; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (27% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the red shows wear quickly and a low float looks noticeably cleaner.
  • Inspect the rims of the handle cutouts and the wing tips, as these are the first places the red wears off.
  • Look at the border between the red blade inlay and the grey bevel for chipping.
  • Check whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag you are comfortable with.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the red push daggers for everyday use.
  • Buyers who are fine with light scuffs on the handle edges.
  • A practical middle option for play.
