Skin overview
Boreal Forest is a woodland hydrographic on a balisong, with the camo on the blade and plain green paint on the handles. Well-Worn copies show large worn areas on the blade where grey steel replaces the camo patches. The green handles still hold the colour identity, though their edges are rubbed through.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Well-Worn
The blade carries a forest camouflage hydrographic in olive, dark green, near-black and pale grey patches that run along its curved profile up to the tip. Both handles are painted in a solid green, with grey-brown inlays set into their long channels and rows of cut-out holes along the sides.
Well-Worn copies lose a large part of the camo on the blade, with grey steel spreading from the edge toward the spine. The remaining patches are broken and faded. The handles show clear rub marks along their edges, though the green still dominates their flat faces. In game the blade looks mostly metallic with patches of camo.
Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Boreal Forest is 0.06–0.8; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
It drops from Operation Breakout Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 23, 2014) as a rare special item.

What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low value keeps noticeably more camo on the blade.
- Inspect the cutting edge and tip first, as these lose the camouflage before any other part.
- Look at the handle edges and corners to see how much green paint has rubbed off.
- Note whether the copy has a name tag or StatTrak™ if that matters for you.
Who should buy Well-Worn
- Budget-minded players who mainly want the butterfly knife itself.
- Fans of a heavily used metal-and-green look.
- Conclusion: an entry point where the knife matters more than the finish.
