Skin overview

In Minimal Wear this ★ Butterfly Knife | Gamma Doppler (Phase 4) keeps its blue-green marbling and contrasting black-and-lime handles almost unchanged. Any marks sit on the tip and the edge of the blade and are hard to spot during inspect animations. It is a way to get the same Phase 4 colours without paying for a perfectly clean coat.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The blade carries the whole Gamma Doppler pattern: dark green and teal marbling near the pivot that lightens into a bright cyan band along the cutting edge and toward the tip. Phase 4 is dominated by cool blue-green tones, with darker green swirls breaking up the lighter areas.

This grade covers a very narrow float range, so the difference from Factory New is small. Light scratches can appear on the tip and along the cutting edge, where the cyan band may lose a little of its brightness. The marbling on the flat of the blade and the green inlays on the handles stay clean. In game and in most inspect angles the knife looks the same as a Factory New copy.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 4 ranges from 0 to 0.08; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.08 — 12% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter.

What to check before buying

  • Make sure the listing is Phase 4 and not another Gamma Doppler phase, since the blade colours differ between phases.
  • Compare screenshots of several copies, because the balance of green, teal and cyan shifts with the pattern.
  • Look at the tip and cutting edge, where the coating wears first.
  • Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag you are comfortable with.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the Phase 4 look in game and will not notice small marks on the tip.
  • Buyers looking for a more accessible entry into Gamma Doppler butterfly knives.
  • A sensible pick when the visual difference from Factory New is not worth the extra cost.
