Skin overview
Safari Mesh is a plain spray-paint finish, so its character depends on how much of the olive paint is left. In Well-Worn the blade loses a noticeable part of its coating and the handle edges turn silver, giving the knife a scuffed, used look. The pattern is still present on the flat parts of the handles.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Well-Worn
The blade, handles and pivot area are painted in a dusty olive-grey base with a lighter sage net pattern sprayed through a mesh stencil, giving rounded, cell-like shapes along the whole length. The clip-point blade carries the mesh up to the tip, while the spine and serrated section near the pivot are slightly darker.
Bare metal spreads from the edge across a good part of the blade, breaking up the mesh near the tip. The handle rims and the areas around the holes are visibly chipped. The flat handle faces and the pivot area keep most of their pattern. At normal distance the knife reads as a worn camouflage piece with silver highlights.
Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Safari Mesh is 0.06–0.8; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
It is the rare special item of Operation Breakout Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 23, 2014) — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What to look at before you buy
- Check the float within the chosen grade, since the cutting edge and tip are the first places where paint disappears.
- Look at the handle rims and the area around the holes on worn copies to see how much of the mesh is left.
- Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version, as it exists for this knife and is priced separately.
- The pattern placement changes little between copies, so condition matters more than pattern here.
Who the Well-Worn quality suits
- Budget-minded players who want a balisong with a lived-in look.
- Those who like silver chips contrasting with olive paint.
- Conclusion: a worn camouflage knife that keeps its pattern on the handles.
