Skin overview

Boreal Forest is a natural camouflage of green and beige patches on a classic straight blade with a jade guard. In Field-Tested the paint starts to thin at the tip and along the spine, and bare metal begins to show through the lighter patches. The camouflage still reads clearly in game, and the slight wear suits its outdoor theme.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The blade carries a forest camouflage hydrographic of olive, lime yellow-green, jade green and pale beige blotches, with soft-edged patches running from the guard to the tip. A thin light band follows the cutting edge, and the serrations near the base sit inside the pattern.

The tip shows visible paint loss and the cutting edge has small worn sections. The spine starts to thin, and light scuffs appear inside the pale patches. The centre of the blade still carries the camouflage with clear borders. In game the wear is noticeable on inspect but the pattern reads clearly.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Classic Knife | Boreal Forest is 0.06–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (31% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

It is the rare special item of CS20 Case — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, since a low-float copy shows noticeably less wear on the tip and edge.
  • Look at the tip, cutting edge and spine on the inspect screenshot, as these lose paint first.
  • Compare pattern placement, because the camouflage patches fall differently on each copy and some show more of the bright lime and jade areas.
  • Note whether the knife has a name tag or StatTrak™ and whether that matters to you.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the full pattern in game with only modest wear.
  • Buyers who feel light scuffs suit a field camouflage theme.
  • In short: a practical everyday choice with the look still intact.
