Skin overview

★ Classic Knife | Scorched is a spray-painted finish in smoky grey and slate blue, with a band of pale, sun-bleached blotches running along the cutting edge. In Factory New the soft gradients stay unbroken and the light patches keep crisp, irregular outlines. Copies in this grade sit in a narrow slice at the bottom of the float range, so they are the cleanest look this paint can have.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The blade carries a smoky spray-paint gradient that moves from slate blue near the spine to darker grey across the flat. Along the cutting edge runs a band of irregular cream and beige blotches, sprayed so that they look sun-bleached or burnt.

The gradient and the pale blotches are intact over the whole blade. The tip, edge and spine show no exposed steel. At normal viewing distance the paint looks smooth and even. The guard and handle look clean throughout.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Classic Knife | Scorched ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Factory New quality covers 0.06–0.07 — 1% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

It drops from CS20 Case as a rare special item.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float within the grade keeps the edge and tip noticeably cleaner.
  • Inspect the tip and the cutting edge in the preview, as these parts lose paint first and cut into the pale blotch band.
  • Look at how the blotches fall along the edge, because their placement varies between copies.
  • Note whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want the paint fully intact.
  • Players who value a perfectly clean gradient in first-person view.
  • The top choice for those who want this finish at its best.
