Skin overview

The Black Pearl phase of ★ Falchion Knife | Doppler reads as a dark, almost black blade with blue and violet marbling that shifts under light. Minimal Wear sits in a very narrow band at the top of this skin's range, so the finish stays almost unchanged and only close inspection shows light marks near the tip and edge. It gives the same look in hand while usually costing less than a Factory New copy.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The blade is covered in a dark navy and violet marble with lighter blue-grey veins, and a thin silver line runs along the cutting edge. The bolster plate near the guard is plain grey steel with visible screws, giving a cool contrast to the painted parts.

In Minimal Wear the finish is almost the same as Factory New, with faint scuffs possible at the tip and along the cutting edge. The spine may show slight dulling when the knife is inspected closely. In normal play these marks are practically invisible and the colour reads the same. The handle, bolster and pommel remain clean.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Falchion Knife | Doppler Black Pearl is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

StatTrak™ version

This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the wear, since a lower float keeps the tip and edge cleaner.
  • Inspect the tip and cutting edge in close view, as these are the first places to show marks.
  • Look at how the marbling falls on the blade, because the placement of light veins changes the look from copy to copy.
  • Note whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it has a name tag.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the Black Pearl look in game without paying for Factory New.
  • Buyers who rarely inspect the knife closely, where the faint marks are not noticed.
  • A sensible entry into this phase with almost no visual loss.
