Show allAllSkin overview
This is the Sapphire phase of the Doppler finish on a Gut Knife: a solid blue blade with a dark marble texture and the gut hook cut into the spine. The wooden handle and blue fittings frame the blade colour. In Minimal Wear the blue stays just as deep, and any marks are small and mostly on the tip and edge, so it costs less to get the same colour.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The blade is coated in a saturated sapphire blue with darker marbled veins running across its surface, and the bevel along the cutting edge shows as a lighter blue line. The gut hook and the jimping on the spine take the same blue, while the spine edge picks up a faint metallic sheen.
In Minimal Wear light silver scratches appear at the tip and along parts of the cutting edge, sometimes around the inner curve of the gut hook. The flat of the blade keeps its deep blue and marble pattern. In game at normal distance these marks are hard to notice unless you inspect the knife up close. The handle and fittings still look clean.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.08
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Gut Knife | Doppler Sapphire is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
It drops as a rare special item from:
- Chroma Case (on sale since Jan 8, 2015)
- Chroma 2 Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015)
- Chroma 3 Case
StatTrak™ version
This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter.
What to check before buying
- Check the float position, since a low float keeps the tip and edge free of any marks.
- Inspect the tip and the gut hook curve on screenshots, as these are the first places where scratches show.
- Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version, because it changes the item you are buying.
- Look for a name tag if you want the original name or prefer a custom one.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want the same deep blue and accept tiny marks visible only up close.
- Buyers looking for a lower entry point into the Sapphire phase.
- Those who mostly see the knife in game rather than in close inspection.
- Conclusion: nearly the same look for less outlay.
