The Freehand finish turns the gut knife blade into a sketchbook page: violet fields, a dark base and dense silvery marker work. In Minimal Wear the drawing still reads as complete, and any marks are small enough that they stay unnoticed in normal play. It keeps nearly the full look of the cleanest grade at a less demanding condition.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The blade carries the whole finish: a dark base with large violet panels, covered by dense silvery and white marker drawings such as swirls, curls and lettering-like strokes. The spine, including the gut hook and the textured section behind it, is mostly dark and grey with fine metallic doodles.
Light, sparse scratches may appear at the very tip and along the cutting edge. The violet panels and the marker drawing on the flat of the blade stay intact. At normal distance in game it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. The spine and gut hook still look clean.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Gut Knife | Freehand is 0–0.48; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (17% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show less steel at the tip.
- Look at the tip, cutting edge and gut hook in inspect, as these are the first places where the paint wears off.
- Compare screenshots of several copies, because the placement of the purple panels and drawings on the blade differs between them.
- Note whether the knife has StatTrak™ or a name tag if either matters to you.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-clean look without demanding a perfect copy.
- Buyers who rarely zoom in on the tip during inspect.
- A sensible balance between condition and requirements.
