Skin overview

This is the Huntsman Knife with a grey stencil camo, made by spraying paint over a tangle of masking tape. At Well-Worn much of the edge and tip shows bare metal, and the camo patches survive mostly in the middle of the blade. The result looks like a field tool that has seen real use.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The finish covers the whole blade, from the Tanto point and the serrated spine with its hooked teeth down to the guard, in white, light grey and darker grey patches. The shapes have straight, sharp edges where the masking tape blocked the spray, giving a broken, urban camo look rather than soft blotches.

Bare metal covers much of the edge, the tip and the spine, and the guard is scraped as well. The camo survives as broken patches in the middle of the blade. In game the knife reads as mostly steel with grey traces. The black handle still looks the same as on cleaner copies.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Huntsman Knife | Urban Masked ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 9% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

It is the rare special item of Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014) — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float within the wear range, since the paint coverage on the edge and tip changes noticeably inside each grade.
  • Look at the cutting edge, the Tanto point and the spine teeth on the inspect view, as these lose paint first.
  • Pattern placement shifts the tape shapes, so compare how the camo falls on the flat of the blade between offers.
  • Note whether a StatTrak™ counter or a name tag is present if that matters to you.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Players who want the knife model and accept heavy edge wear.
  • Fans of a rugged tool look with bare steel showing.
  • A budget option that still keeps some camo.
