Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the most affordable way into this Kukri finish. Much of the patina is worn to plain metal, leaving scattered grey-blue patches on the blade. The knife shape, notched spine and dark grip carry the look.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The finish covers the curved blade with a forced patina: a pale steel base with irregular grey and steel-blue blotches, each with a darker outline. Near the cutting edge the metal looks lighter and more polished, while the flat and the notched spine carry the densest staining.

Most of the blade shows bare metal, with scattered grey-blue patches left mainly near the guard and in the middle. The edge, tip and spine look almost plain. In game the knife reads mostly as polished steel with traces of staining. The dark grip keeps the overall silhouette familiar.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Kukri Knife | Stained is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float keeps more patina on the tip and edge.
  • Look at blotch placement on inspect, as copies differ in where the staining gathers.
  • Inspect the tip, cutting edge and spine notches, which lose the patina first.
  • Check whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it has a name tag.
