Overview
★ M9 Bayonet in its vanilla form is the knife without any applied finish, shown in its factory dark steel. It is recognisable by the long clip-point blade, the saw-toothed spine and the ring on the crossguard that recalls its origin as a rifle bayonet. A vanilla knife has no wear grades, so every copy looks the same, and the buyer chooses only between the regular and the StatTrak™ version.
This is the vanilla M9 Bayonet: the unpainted look of the item in CS2. Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
The same quality also exists as the regular version.
Appearance
The blade is a dark gunmetal grey with a lighter, brushed steel bevel running along the cutting edge to the tip. The spine carries a row of saw teeth, and an oval cut-out sits near the spine close to the point, with a small round emblem stamped near the guard.

What to look at before you buy
- Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version, since the counter is the main difference between otherwise identical copies.
- Check whether the knife carries a name tag and whether that name suits you.
- There is no float or pattern to compare, so you do not need to search for a cleaner or rarer copy.
- Inspect the knife in game first to make sure you like the M9 Bayonet model and its animations without a finish.
Who it suits
- Players who want the M9 Bayonet model and its animations in a plain, unpainted look.
- Buyers who prefer a knife that looks the same on every copy and do not want to deal with wear grades or patterns.
- Collectors who value the knife in its original factory form or want a StatTrak™ counter on it.
- Conclusion: a straightforward choice for anyone who wants the M9 Bayonet itself rather than a particular finish.
