Skin overview
The Boreal Forest finish turns the M9 Bayonet into a field-issue knife with mottled green and brown camouflage on the blade and a muted grey-khaki grip. At Minimal Wear the pattern still covers the knife almost fully; any marks are tiny and sit on the tip or the spine teeth. In hand it looks practically the same as a cleaner copy.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The blade is covered with a hydrographic forest camouflage of olive, khaki, light green and teal blotches, running from the tip across the fuller hole and up to the serrated spine. A darker grey band follows the cutting edge, framing the camo along the lower line of the blade.
Light specks of wear may appear on the very tip and the top of the spine teeth, usually only visible on inspection. The cutting edge band and the camo on the flat of the blade stay complete. In normal play the knife looks the same as Factory New. The guard, ring and grip remain clean.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet | Boreal Forest is 0.06–0.8; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying
- Look at the float within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show visibly less steel on the tip and edge.
- Inspect the tip, the cutting edge and the spine teeth first, because that is where this hydrographic finish loses paint before anything else.
- Check the muzzle ring and the grip ridges on worn copies, as chips there are visible in the inspect animation.
- Note whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, as both change the item you are buying.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-clean look and are fine with marks visible only on inspection.
- Buyers who want to save compared to Factory New without a visible difference in play.
- A sensible balance between condition and cost.
