Skin overview
★ M9 Bayonet | Doppler (Ruby) is the M9 Bayonet with the Ruby phase of the Doppler finish. The blade is a deep red, broken up by darker marbled veins under a glossy candy coat. In Factory New the red is saturated and even from tip to guard, and the gloss over the marbling is intact.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The whole blade is coated in deep red with darker, almost wine-coloured marbled veins running along its length. The sawteeth on the spine and the thin edge line read slightly darker against the glossy red flats.
The red covers the blade evenly, with no breaks at the tip, on the sawteeth or along the edge. The candy coat keeps its gloss, so the marbled veins look deep and clean. In game at normal distance the blade reads as a solid, bright red. The guard, ring and pommel cap are untouched as well.
Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet | Doppler Ruby is 0–0.08; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (88% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
It drops as a rare special item from:
- Chroma Case (on sale since Jan 8, 2015)
- Chroma 2 Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015)
- Chroma 3 Case
StatTrak™ version
This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter.
What to check before buying
- Look at the float within the narrow range, since copies at the cleaner end show fewer marks at the tip.
- Inspect the tip, the sawteeth and the cutting edge, as these lose paint first.
- Compare the marbling and the depth of red between copies, because the dark veins sit differently on each blade.
- Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it has a name tag you want to keep.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the Ruby phase with an untouched tip and sawback.
- Players who inspect the knife often and want the gloss and marbling at their best.
- A choice for those who want the cleanest grade of this phase.
