Skin overview

This M9 Bayonet carries the Phase 2 Doppler look: a glossy blade washed in magenta and purple with darker marbling, paired with a pink guard and ring. In Minimal Wear the colour still reads as rich and saturated, and any marks tend to stay small and close to the tip or the edges. It gives nearly the same picture in hand while sitting one grade below the cleanest copies.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The blade is covered in a candy-coated marbled finish of pink, magenta and violet, broken up by dark smoky swirls that shift in placement from copy to copy. The serrated spine and the cutout hole near the tip sit inside the same colour field, while the guard and the muzzle ring are painted a solid matching pink.

In Minimal Wear the first light marks can appear at the tip and along the cutting edge, and occasionally on the spine teeth. These spots are small and usually only noticeable when inspecting the knife up close. At normal distance in game the blade reads almost the same as a Factory New copy. The middle of the blade, the guard and the grip stay clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet | Doppler Phase 2 is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the float position, since copies near the cleaner end of each grade show fewer marks at the tip.
  • Check the pattern, because the balance of bright pink and dark marbling on the blade differs from copy to copy.
  • Inspect the tip and the spine teeth closely on Minimal Wear copies, as these are the first places the coat thins.
  • Note whether a name tag is applied and whether it suits you.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the same pink-violet look in game and are fine with tiny marks at the tip.
  • Buyers entering Phase 2 Doppler knives at a lower grade.
  • Conclusion: nearly the same picture in play, with a compromise only visible up close.
