Skin overview

This copy carries the same dark Black Pearl finish: near-black violet metal broken by pale lavender and silver swirls. At Minimal Wear the finish still reads as practically clean in the hand, and any light scuffing sits on the small edges of the blade rather than across the pattern. It is a way to get the Black Pearl look in a slightly less pristine grade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The Doppler finish covers the clip-point blade and the metal bolster of the frame, while the handle keeps its own orange-tan marble with reddish veins and stays unaffected by the paint. On the blade, the Black Pearl phase shows a dark navy-to-violet base with smoky silver and lavender streaks that look like marble suspended under a gloss coat.

At Minimal Wear small scuffs can appear at the very tip of the blade and in places along the spine, where the coat is thinnest. The edges of the bolster may show slight wear, while the flat of the blade and the marbling stay intact. In game these marks are hard to spot during normal play and show up mainly when the inspect animation brings the blade close. The handle looks the same as on a Factory New copy.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Navaja Knife | Doppler Black Pearl is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position within the wear range, since lower floats keep the tip and spine cleaner.
  • Compare the balance of dark base and silver streaks on the blade, because Black Pearl copies vary from very dark to noticeably silvery.
  • Inspect the blade tip and the edges of the bolster, as these spots show wear first.
  • Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, if that matters to you.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want the Black Pearl look and do not mind faint marks at the tip.
  • Buyers looking for a more accessible entry into this phase.
  • Conclusion: nearly the same look in play, with small concessions only on close inspection.
