Skin overview

Slaughter on the Nomad Knife is defined by its glossy red coat and darker striped bands over a metallic base. In Field-Tested the coat starts to thin near the tip and cutting edge, letting silver metal show through in places. The striped pattern and red colour still dominate the blade at normal viewing distance.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New and Minimal Wear.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The blade is coated in a tomato red candy finish over aluminum and chrome paints, forming zebra-like stripes of pale pink and deep red with angular, chevron-shaped bands. The pattern placement differs from copy to copy, so the arrangement of stripes on the blade flat is never quite the same.

The tip, edge and spine show thinner coat with patches of silver metal underneath. Some scratches can reach the lower part of the blade flat, and the red edges of the handle frame may be scuffed. The central stripes still look solid. Since the range ends early in this grade, wear stays moderate and the knife still reads clearly red in game.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.26

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Nomad Knife | Slaughter is 0.01–0.26; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.26 segment (44% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Check the pattern placement, since the arrangement of stripes on the blade flat differs between copies.
  • Look at the tip and cutting edge, where the red coat wears off first.
  • Compare the float position within the wear grade, as lower values keep the edge cleaner.
  • Check for a name tag and whether it is a StatTrak™ copy.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Budget entry into this finish while keeping a clearly red blade.
  • Players who care more about the in-game look than close inspection.
  • Conclusion: the practical pick for play.
