Skin overview

This Paracord Knife carries a pixelated forest pattern of tan, light beige, green and brown squares over a tanto-style blade with a long cut-out slot. At Minimal Wear the camouflage looks practically untouched from a normal viewing distance, with any marks limited to tiny spots near the edge. It gives almost the Factory New look on a grade that is easier to find.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The tanto-style blade is fully covered in a digital camouflage of khaki and light beige pixels mixed with dark green and dark brown blocks. The pattern runs over the flat of the blade, around the long cut-out slot and along the notched spine to the small guard.

Small specks of wear may appear along the cutting edge and at the very tip. The rest of the blade, including the spine and the area around the slot, stays clean. At normal distance in game the difference from Factory New is hard to notice. The colours keep their full contrast.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Paracord Knife | Forest DDPAT is 0.06–0.8; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

StatTrak™ version

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the paint on the edge and tip changes noticeably between low and high values.
  • Inspect the cutting edge, the tip and the spine notches, as these lose paint first.
  • The pattern placement only shifts the pixel blocks, so choose by float rather than by pattern.
  • Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag you want to keep.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
  • Owners of woodland or military-themed inventories.
  • Conclusion: almost the Factory New look at a more reasonable cost.
