Skin overview

★ Skeleton Knife | Rust Coat is a skeletonized-tang knife with a bare steel blade marked by rust and a dark taped handle. In Well-Worn the blue-grey metal is still the main colour, with orange-brown rust spots scattered over it. It reads as an old tool that has been used hard but still keeps its steel sheen.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The blade is covered in pale blue-grey steel with fine scratches and orange-brown rust specks, most dense around the row of holes, the finger ring and along the spine. The finger ring and guard area carry the same rusted metal as the blade.

At Well-Worn the steel base is still clearly visible across most of the blade. Rust appears as scattered spots and small patches, concentrated near the holes, the finger ring and the spine. In game at normal distance the blade reads as grey metal with a warm, speckled texture. The taped handle stays dark and neat.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.4–0.45

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Skeleton Knife | Rust Coat is 0.4–1; Well-Worn takes the 0.4–0.45 segment (8% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since it decides how much steel shows through the rust.
  • Look at the inspect screenshots of both sides of the blade, as rust placement differs between copies.
  • Pay attention to the area around the finger ring and holes, where rust gathers first.
  • Check for a name tag and whether the StatTrak™ version fits your preference.
