Skin overview

The Forest DDPAT finish gives the Ursus Knife a muted military look, with small pixel blocks in earthy greens and browns over the faceted blade. In Minimal Wear the camouflage still reads as complete, and any marks are limited to tiny spots that are hard to find without inspecting the knife. It looks almost the same as the top grade in hand, which is the main reason buyers choose it.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The tanto blade is covered with a digital camouflage of small square blocks in tan, beige, olive green, dark green and dark brown, applied as a hydrographic over the faceted steel. The pattern runs from the angled tip to the guard, including the serrated section near the handle.

Wear is limited to small specks, usually near the tip or on the cutting edge. The pattern reads as complete, and at normal distance the knife cannot be told apart from Factory New. The grip and the main surface of the blade look untouched. Copies with a low float in this grade look the cleanest.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of ★ Ursus Knife | Forest DDPAT is 0.06–0.8; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

StatTrak™ version

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low value in the same grade means a cleaner tip and edge.
  • Inspect the tip, the cutting edge and the serrations, as these parts lose paint first.
  • Look at the centre of the blade on worn copies to see how much of the pixel pattern is left.
  • Check for a name tag and decide whether a StatTrak™ counter matters to you.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a near-perfect look without aiming for the top grade.
  • Buyers for whom tiny specks on the edge are not a concern.
  • Conclusion: practically the same look as Factory New in normal play.
