Show allAllSkin overview
VariCamo Grey turns the AK-47 into a muted grey-green service rifle with blotchy camouflage on every part. In Field-Tested the pattern is still clearly readable, while the edges of the magazine and handguard start to show lighter scuffs. Here the wear begins to look like honest use rather than damage.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The hydrographic VariCamo pattern covers the entire AK-47: receiver, dust cover, handguard, pistol grip, stock and magazine. It is made of small irregular patches of light grey, mid grey and dark olive grey on a dark base, giving a dense, slightly pixelated texture.
Light scuffs show along the magazine ribs and edges, the front of the handguard and the front sight. The receiver top may carry small worn spots, while the stock and grip stay mostly clean. In game the camouflage still reads fully, with a slightly used feel on the magazine. The overall pattern remains intact.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of AK-47 | VariCamo Grey is 0–0.672; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (34% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
AK-47 | VariCamo Grey belongs to The Boreal Collection, which holds 29 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
What it costs in each quality
Among 6 skins of the AK-47 in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the most affordable.
Souvenir version
There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
The neutral grey camouflage works as a backdrop for almost any sticker, with bright red, orange or gold stickers standing out the most. Placing them on the receiver side or the magazine gives strong contrast, while matte olive or black stickers keep the military look.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the magazine edges show wear first.
- The camouflage has no pattern variations worth paying extra for, so compare copies by float and condition.
- On Souvenir copies, look at the applied stickers and how they fit the grey finish.
- Look for a name tag or extra stickers that may change the look of a plain finish.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want a practical camouflage AK-47 for everyday matches.
- Those who like a lightly used look that fits the military style.
- Conclusion: a balanced option for regular play.
