Skin overview

AUG | Amber Fade is a Mil-Spec Grade rifle finish in which transparent paint fades from olive green on the front of the body to amber and copper at the rear of the stock. The paint sits over a chrome base, so in Factory New the whole body carries an even metallic sheen. The gradient reads cleanly from the trigger area to the buttstock with no breaks.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Factory New

The main colour sits on the polymer body: olive green around the grip and trigger guard gradually warms into amber and copper-orange toward the rear of the stock. The barrel, upper rail and scope stay dark grey, which frames the gradient from above. The forward grip is a muted grey-olive, and the magazine is pale, almost white, with its ribbed texture. Because the paint is transparent over chrome, the body has a metallic sheen rather than a flat colour. On worn copies the paint goes first on the edges of the stock, the rear corner of the body and the raised areas around the grip, exposing silver metal underneath.

The paint covers the body evenly, with no scratches on the edges or the stock. The chrome base gives the gradient a smooth, glossy look. In game the amber rear half stands out clearly behind the dark scope and barrel.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The whole float range of AUG | Amber Fade is 0–0.4; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (18% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The 2021 Train Collection with 17 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Warm gold, orange and copper stickers blend with the amber rear of the body, while dark or holo stickers stand out against the chrome sheen. Placing them along the side of the body keeps the gradient readable.
