Skin overview

The Daedalus finish turns the AUG into a canvas for a sprayed maze in faded red and grey tones. In Minimal Wear the labyrinth still reads as a complete pattern, with only faint marks that are hard to spot without inspecting the weapon. For most buyers this grade looks almost identical to a fresh copy at a lower cost.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The labyrinth stencil covers the lower receiver, the trigger guard and the rear of the stock, with grey maze lines on the body and brick red lines on the stock. The translucent magazine carries a light grey and red maze pattern, and the vertical foregrip has a mottled red and grey-green spray.

Small scuffs may appear on the bottom edge of the magazine and the tip of the foregrip. The stock and receiver remain clean, and the maze lines keep their sharpness. At normal distance the difference from Factory New is barely noticeable. A low float in this grade looks practically fresh.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of AUG | Daedalus ranges from 0 to 0.55; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 15% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Gods and Monsters Collection with 14 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in brick red, grey or dark tones blend with the maze and keep the earthy look. A single contrasting sticker on the stock or side of the receiver stands out well against the muted labyrinth.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position within the wear grade, since a low float looks noticeably cleaner on the stock edges and magazine.
  • Inspect the foregrip and magazine base first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
  • Souvenir copies exist, so check whether the offer is a Souvenir and which stickers it carries.
  • Look at any applied stickers and name tag, because they change the look of the muted finish.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Buyers who want a near-fresh look and are happy to save a little.
  • Sticker crafters looking for a clean base under their stickers.
  • A sensible balance of appearance and cost.
