Skin overview

This is the AUG in a muted green-teal finish with a map overlay and reconnaissance HUD details. At Minimal Wear the look is practically the same as a fresh copy, with only a few tiny marks on outer edges. For most buyers it is the sensible way to get a clean-looking rifle.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and stock are painted in a dark teal-green with a map pattern of faint contour lines in orange and gold, plus small HUD-style markings. The foregrip and pistol grip area carry brighter iridescent blotches that shift between blue, green and gold.

A few tiny specks may appear on the front edge of the foregrip or the corners of the stock. They are hard to notice even in inspect mode. In game the rifle looks the same as Factory New. The map pattern and HUD details remain fully sharp.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of AUG | Surveillance is 0–0.6; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (13% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

AUG | Surveillance belongs to The Control Collection, which holds 19 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in teal, dark green, gold or orange tie in with the map colours and contour lines. Holo or foil stickers with a cool blue sheen echo the iridescent patches on the foregrip. Placing them on the flat side of the stock keeps the receiver pattern visible.

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float in Field-Tested can look close to Minimal Wear.
• Look at the foregrip and trigger guard first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
