Skin overview

The skin keeps the same simple idea in Minimal Wear: one deep emerald tone over chrome, with no pattern to distract from it. At this grade the coat can show a few tiny bright specks where the chrome peeks through on sharp edges. For most players the difference from the cleanest grade only shows up on close inspection.

Item type: pistol. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized: the colour is in the metal coating itself, so wear shows mostly as dulling rather than a rubbed-off pattern.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The slide, frame, trigger guard, trigger and hammer are covered in a single glossy emerald green with a metallic sheen from the chrome underneath. The muzzle with its ported tip, the extended magazine and the grip panels are not painted: the barrel end and magazine stay grey steel, and the grips are dark grey with fine texture.

In Minimal Wear small light specks may appear on the front edge of the slide, near the muzzle and on the top edges. The flat sides of the slide and frame still carry a full, even green. In game at normal distance these marks are practically invisible, and the pistol reads almost the same as a Factory New copy. Copies with a float close to the Factory New boundary show the least.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of CZ75-Auto | Emerald is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

CZ75-Auto | Emerald belongs to The Chop Shop Collection, which holds 16 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

By price this skin is 2nd of 13 skins Mil-Spec Grade CZ75-Auto in this quality (the first being the dearest).

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, silver and holo stickers match the chrome-and-green finish well, as do green or black designs that keep the colour scheme calm. The flat side of the slide gives a clean spot for one or two stickers without hiding the colour.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position within the range, since the cleanest copies show no chips at all on the slide edges.
  • Look at the front of the slide and the muzzle area on the inspect screen, as these are the first places the green coat breaks.
  • There is no pattern to choose, so differences between copies come down to float, stickers and name tag.
  • On Souvenir copies check that the applied stickers fit how you want the pistol to look.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want the same emerald look in game while paying less than for the cleanest grade.
  • A budget entry for sticker crafts, since the marks are small and the slide sides stay clean.
  • Conclusion: nearly the same pistol in play, with savings for those who do not inspect every edge.
