Skin overview

Framework in Field-Tested is the middle ground: the dark body and cream accents still carry the look, while the light parts begin to collect visible dark chips. Because the magazine and grip panels are pale, wear shows on them earlier than on the grey frame. The geometric slide pattern stays readable but loses some sharpness.

Item type: pistol. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The frame, trigger guard area and lower receiver are a flat dark slate grey. The top of the slide carries the hydrographic optical illusion: interlocking grey and tan angular shapes that form a geometric pattern.

Dark chips become visible along the magazine edges and base, and on the edges of the grip panels. The raised parts of the slide start to lose small areas of the pattern. In game the pale magazine shows the wear most clearly. The grey frame and the centre of the grip panels still look tidy.

Stickers and crafts

Muted stickers in tan, beige, grey or black match the finish and keep the calm two-tone look. Placing them on the dark frame gives the most contrast, while a single darker sticker near the slide pattern ties in with the geometric shapes.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the pale magazine shows the difference between low and high floats clearly.
  • Look at the magazine edges and base first, because they are the first parts to chip.
  • Inspect the grip panel edges and the top of the slide on mid and high wears.
  • Check any applied stickers and name tag, as they change the look of this simple two-tone finish.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want the recognisable two-tone look for everyday use.
  • Buyers comfortable with visible chips on the pale magazine.
  • Conclusion: a practical everyday choice.
