Skin overview
The skin's float range ends early, so Field-Tested here means only the cleanest part of that grade. The blue digital pattern stays complete, while the first bare metal appears along the sharp edges of the slide and the muzzle. Combined with the painted weathered spots, the gun takes on a used, field look without losing its colour.
Item type: pistol. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.
Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The slide, frame and grip are wrapped in one continuous digital camouflage of navy, cobalt and light blue squares with a metallic anodized sheen. Along the slide the pixels run in horizontal bands, and the engraved lettering stays visible through the pattern.
Small patches of bare metal show on the muzzle, along the top edges of the slide and at its rear, and the lower edge of the grip starts to wear. The scuffs that were barely visible in Minimal Wear become more defined, but they stay on the edges and raised parts. The flat sides of the slide and the main area of the grip keep the full blue pattern. In game the pistol still reads clearly blue, with a slightly worn outline.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.2
The whole float range of Desert Eagle | Cobalt Disruption is 0–0.2; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.2 segment (25% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The eSports 2013 Winter Collection with 12 skins in total.
The source is eSports 2013 Winter Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).
What it costs in each quality
Compared with the Field-Tested quality, the others go like this:
- Factory New — 21% dearer
- Minimal Wear — 2% cheaper
Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.
By price this skin is 2nd of 8 skins Classified Desert Eagle in this quality (the first being the dearest).
StatTrak™ and Souvenir
This skin has a the StatTrak™ version with a kill counter. Right now it is 2× dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Silver, holo and blue-toned stickers blend with the cobalt camo, while white or gold accents stand out against it without clashing. Placements on the flat side of the slide work best, as the grip pattern is already busy.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float in Field-Tested looks much closer to Minimal Wear.
- Look at the muzzle and the top edges of the slide, because these lose the finish first.
- Remember that the teal rust spots are part of the artwork and not damage.
- Check applied stickers and the name tag, as they change how the busy pattern reads.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Budget buyers who want the cobalt camo for everyday play.
- Players who like a slightly used look that fits the painted rust.
- The entry point to this skin, and still a clearly blue, intact pattern.
