Skin overview

Crimson Web in Battle-Scarred keeps the red and black scheme, but the paint is broken up by heavy wear across the whole pistol. Metal shows through on the slide, muzzle and grip, and the web becomes patchy where the red has gone. This grade gives a heavily used, gritty look at the most accessible entry point.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The slide, frame and grip are coated in a solid red base, with black spider web lines laid over them by hydrographic print and sealed with a semi-gloss topcoat. On the slide the web runs along the sides and around the factory markings, and darker shading gathers near the top edge and the rear sight.

Battle-Scarred shows heavy paint loss across the slide, frame and grip, with metal exposed on all edges and over parts of the flat surfaces. The web survives only in patches where the red base remains. Remaining red is concentrated in the middle of the slide sides and the grip panel. In game the pistol reads as a worn red-and-grey gun rather than a clean web pattern.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The whole float range of Desert Eagle | Crimson Web is 0.06–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (47% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Desert Eagle | Crimson Web belongs to The eSports 2014 Summer Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from eSports 2014 Summer Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).

What it costs in each quality

Among 14 skins of the Desert Eagle in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin ranks 6th by price, counting from the dearest.

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills. Right now it is 2.1× dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Black, white and gold stickers sit well on the red slide and do not clash with the web. Red holo or foil stickers blend into the base for a uniform look, while a single sticker near the middle of the slide keeps the web visible.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the web placement on the slide and grip, since a neat, centred web is valued over a scattered one.
  • Check the float position within the wear grade, because low floats keep the slide edges and muzzle noticeably cleaner.
  • Inspect the muzzle, slide edges, grip corners and trigger guard, which lose paint first.
  • On Souvenir copies, note which stickers are applied, since they are fixed and change the overall look.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget buyers who want the Crimson Web name on their Desert Eagle.
  • Players who enjoy a heavily battered look on weapons.
  • In short, the most accessible entry for those who value character over cleanliness.
