Skin overview

Black Limba is built around worn-in metal, so the Field-Tested grade suits its character well. Light scuffs along the slide edges blend into the existing patina, and the wooden grips still carry most of their grain. The result looks like a well-kept pair of service pistols rather than a damaged skin.

Item type: pistol. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

Both slides and frames are finished in a grey gunmetal tone with darker patina and lighter mottled spots, giving the steel an aged, handled look. The barrels and trigger guards stay in the same metallic grey, with the serrations and small details picked out by the light.

Field-Tested brings visible lighter scuffs along the slide edges, muzzles and the top of the frames. These blend with the patina, so the metal reads as more aged rather than damaged. The wooden grips get small marks on their outer edges, while the centre of the panels still shows clear grain. In first person the pair still looks tidy.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of Dual Berettas | Black Limba ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 31% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Bravo Collection with 15 skins in total.

It drops from Operation Bravo Case (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).

Price by quality

Among 11 skins of the Dual Berettas in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

This skin has a the StatTrak™ version with a kill counter. Right now it is 9% cheaper than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Muted stickers in brown, gold, black or dark grey match the steel and wood palette best. Small paper or gold stickers placed on the slides keep the classic look intact, while bright colours tend to break the restrained style.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the float within the wear range, since a low-float Field-Tested copy can look close to Minimal Wear on this finish.
  • Check the slide tops and muzzle edges in the inspect view, as they lose the dark tone first.
  • Look at the outer edges of the wooden grips, because faded grain there is the clearest sign of heavier wear.
  • Check applied stickers and the name tag, and decide whether StatTrak™ or a Souvenir version matters to you.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who like the aged-metal theme and do not mind light scuffs.
  • Buyers looking for a low-float copy that looks cleaner than its grade.
  • A natural fit for this finish at a moderate cost.
