FAMAS | Byproduct is a Consumer Grade rifle finish with gold streaks bursting across a dark olive base. In Factory New the gold lines stay sharp and continuous, and the burst motif reads clearly on the carry handle and stock. This is the cleanest version of a simple, warm-toned finish.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The carry handle, upper receiver, rear of the stock and the magazine are painted dark olive with dense gold-yellow streaks that radiate like a burst. The lower body, pistol grip and trigger guard stay in plain grey-beige polymer, framing the painted parts. The barrel and muzzle remain dark bare metal. On worn copies the paint first chips from the top edge of the carry handle, the magazine edges and the corners of the stock, then thins across raised details.

The paint is intact on every painted part, including the top of the carry handle and the magazine edges. The gold streaks keep their full contrast against the olive base. In game the rifle looks crisp and evenly coloured. Nothing on the weapon shows chipping.
