Skin overview

Glock-18 | Brass is built around the look of tarnished metal, so the most worn grade does not lose the theme. In Battle-Scarred the slide is darkened and scuffed across most of its surface, closer to old oxidised brass than polished fittings. It is the most affordable way to get this finish, and the aged look is part of its appeal.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The slide is finished in a brass yellow with a darker olive patina mottled across its surface, and the muzzle end shows a polished brass rim around the barrel opening. The frame, trigger guard and grip keep a plain grey-green polymer tone, with the textured grip panel left as is.

The slide is scuffed and darkened across nearly its entire surface, with the edges and front worn the most. Only traces of the original brass tone remain in protected spots. In game the slide looks like old oxidised metal over a grey frame. The frame and grip carry visible scuffs on raised areas but keep their grey colour.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, holo and foil stickers in warm yellow tones match the brass slide, while black or dark olive designs fit the patina. Placing stickers on the grey frame gives them a neutral background and keeps the slide's brass visible.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the slide's brightness changes noticeably between the cleaner and dirtier ends of the same grade.
  • Look at the slide front and top edges in the inspect view, as these are the first places where the brass dulls.
  • Make sure applied stickers sit well on the slide or frame and do not clash with the brass tone.
  • Check whether the copy carries a name tag and decide if it suits the restrained look of the skin.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget entry for players who want this skin on their Glock.
  • Fans of the oxidised, old-metal look.
  • Conclusion: the cheapest way in, with wear that suits the idea of tarnished brass.
