Skin overview

Spectrogram turns the M249 into a dark, slightly tinted machinegun with a striped lilac and teal magazine as its focal point. In Field-Tested the paint starts to give way on edges and protruding parts, while the halftone colouring on the larger panels is still clearly readable. It keeps the character of the skin without the cost of the cleanest grades.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver and the top cover are painted in a dark green-grey with a faint halftone tint that shifts towards blue and green in the light. The box magazine carries the main motif: fine horizontal streaks in lilac, pink and teal that resemble a spectrogram.

Wear becomes visible on the edges of the receiver, the rails, the sights and the corners of the magazine, where small patches of metal show through. The magazine stripes start to look slightly broken near the edges. The centre of the magazine and the flat receiver panels keep their colour. In game the skin still reads as Spectrogram, with a more used look on the outline.
