Skin overview

M4A1-S | Fade is a Covert rifle finish where transparent paints over a chrome base blend from gold at the suppressor through red and pink to violet at the rear of the receiver. In Factory New the chrome underneath gives the colours an even, glossy depth along the whole length of the rifle. The gradient shows no breaks, so the transitions between gold, red and violet stay smooth.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The suppressor and exposed barrel are a polished gold that turns orange toward the front sight. The ribbed handguard and the front of the receiver shift into deep red and pink, while the carry handle and the rear of the receiver move into magenta and violet. The magazine repeats the gradient from red at the top to orange and gold at the base, and the stock and pistol grip stay in plain dark grey, which frames the colours. On worn copies the transparent paint thins first on sharp edges and raised parts such as the handguard ribs, the carry handle and the magazine edges, exposing the bare chrome.

Factory New copies show the full gradient with uniform gloss from the suppressor to the rear of the receiver. The lowest floats have no visible marks on the handguard ribs or the carry handle, while higher floats in the grade may carry faint scuffs only noticeable on inspect. In game the rifle reads as a clean, bright chrome piece at any distance. The grey stock and grip look the same across the grade.
