Skin overview

MAG-7 | Popdog is a Mil-Spec Grade shotgun finish painted to look like a weathered train car, with a Pop Dog graphic on the side of the receiver. Rust tones, olive metal and a teal panel are deliberately aged in the artwork, so a Factory New copy still looks used. At this grade every stain and panel line is sharp, which keeps the train-car illusion closest to the original design.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver is styled as the side of a train car, with panel lines, rivets and vents in olive and ochre, rust-brown patches and a teal section bearing the Pop Dog graphic. The pump grip under the barrel is a greyish olive with darker, grimy shading, while the barrel and its shroud stay dark with a slight metallic sheen. The magazine is a lighter weathered grey with pale panel details near its base. On worn copies the paint goes first on the front edge of the pump, the top edges of the receiver, the trigger guard and the bottom of the magazine, and later reaches the receiver graphic.

No real wear is present: everything that looks dirty or rusty is part of the painted design. Panel lines, rivets and the teal Pop Dog section are crisp across the whole receiver. In game it reads as a clean render of an old train car, with even colour on the pump and magazine. Edges and the trigger guard keep full paint.

Stickers and crafts

Muted stickers in olive, brown, rust or teal sit naturally on the train-car panels and keep the weathered mood. Holo or bright stickers work as contrast if placed away from the Pop Dog graphic so the logo stays visible.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in a worn grade keeps the receiver graphic noticeably cleaner.
  • Look at the teal Pop Dog section on the receiver, as it is the main detail of the design and the first thing lost on heavily worn copies.
  • Inspect the pump edge and the bottom of the magazine, which wear first and show bare metal clearly.
  • Check for applied stickers and a name tag, because they change how the receiver side looks.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want every panel line and the Pop Dog graphic in full detail.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean base under their placements.
  • Conclusion: the grade for those who value the design exactly as drawn.
