Skin overview

Battle-Scarred fits the skin's theme best: a CT shotgun that looks pulled out of storage covered in rust. The dark coat survives mainly in recessed areas, while worn metal and corrosion take over the edges and lower parts. Here the weathering is the point of the skin rather than a drawback.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and upper body are finished in a dark gunmetal tone with subtle variation, and the vents and panel lines stay a little darker than the flat surfaces. The barrel and muzzle are dark with a lighter metallic band near the front of the receiver.

The magazine, trigger guard and lower body are heavily corroded and rubbed. The receiver edges and muzzle show bare worn metal, and the dark coat survives mostly in recesses and panel lines. The foregrip is clearly scuffed and stained. At normal distance the whole gun reads as rusty old metal, which matches the skin's theme.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, since the amount of rust changes noticeably across this skin's full range.
  • Look at the magazine and trigger guard first, as they carry the corrosion and show the biggest difference between copies.
  • For a Souvenir copy, check the pre-applied stickers and their condition, since they come with the item.
  • Check for a name tag or stickers that may change the overall look of the dark body.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred
