Skin overview

Army Recon covers the MP7 in loose camouflage patches of sand, green and rust, applied as if by hand with a spray can. In Battle-Scarred large areas of paint are worn through to dark metal, especially on the top, the muzzle end and the magazine. What remains reads more as a weathered, stripped-down weapon than a neat camo.

Item type: smg. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, top rail and sights are covered in overlapping soft-edged blotches of sand-yellow, olive green and rust-brown, sprayed without a strict pattern. The same camouflage continues onto the front grip, the long magazine and the folding stock, so the whole weapon reads as one piece.

Large patches of paint are gone from the top of the receiver, the rail, the muzzle area, the grip and the magazine. The stock is heavily scuffed at the edges and joints. In game the weapon reads as dark and patchy, with the camo broken into fragments. Some colour survives on the recessed side surfaces.

Stickers and crafts

Earthy tones such as olive, tan, brown and muted gold blend with the camouflage, while a single matte black or dark sticker on the receiver side keeps the military look. Bright neon colours tend to clash with the soft spray-painted patches.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the float position within the wear range, since the edges of the rail, sights and magazine show the difference first.
  • The camouflage has no special patterns worth paying extra for, so compare copies by wear rather than by pattern.
  • Souvenir copies carry preset stickers, so check that their look suits you.
  • Check for a name tag or applied stickers if you plan your own craft.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players who want the cheapest entry to this skin.
  • Fans of a heavily stripped, battlefield-worn appearance.
  • In short: a budget option with a rough, gritty look.
