Skin overview

Groundwater keeps the MP7 in plain military tones, with a light green frame, tan fittings and an olive magazine. A Minimal Wear copy looks practically the same as a fresh one in play. Any marks sit on the very edges and are hard to spot without inspecting the model up close.

Item type: smg. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver, upper rail section, pistol grip and front vertical grip are painted a pale mint green. The rear and front sights, the rail cover on the handguard and the folding stock are a sand tan, while the magazine is a darker olive and the muzzle device stays dark grey.

Tiny scuffs may appear on the tips of the sights and the muzzle end. The body, grips and magazine remain fully painted. At normal viewing distance the difference from Factory New is barely noticeable. It gives almost the same look at a lower grade.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of MP7 | Groundwater ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 11% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

MP7 | Groundwater belongs to The Alpha Collection, which holds 16 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Muted stickers in olive, tan, brown or black keep the military feel of the finish. A single darker sticker on the pale green receiver side stands out well without breaking the colour blocks.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since lower values keep the sight posts and stock edges cleaner.
  • Pattern does not matter for this skin, as it is a plain solid-colour finish.
  • Inspect the sights, rail cover and magazine base, because these parts lose paint first.
  • Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers, so look at them in the inspect view before buying.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-new look without paying for the top grade.
  • Those who rarely inspect up close and care about the in-game view.
  • Conclusion: almost Factory New appearance at a sensible grade.
