Skin overview

Ocean Foam pairs a navy metallic body with a pale blue cellular pattern and leaves the rails, grips, stock and magazine in plain grey. Minimal Wear on this skin is still a very clean copy, since the whole range of the finish is narrow and stays at the low end. The colour and the foam lines read almost the same as on a fresh copy, so this grade is a sensible way to get the look for less.

Item type: smg. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and the upper part of the pistol grip are covered in a dark navy metallic base with a transparent light blue abstract network that forms irregular cells across the surface. Bright metallic highlights run along the front of the receiver and the top edges, giving the anodized finish a polished sheen.

Minimal Wear can show a few faint light scuffs on the front edges of the receiver and on raised parts near the top rail. The navy base and the blue network over the main surfaces remain intact. In game at normal distance these marks are hard to notice, and the gun looks practically the same as a Factory New copy. The grip and the sides of the body stay clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The float of MP7 | Ocean Foam ranges from 0 to 0.08; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.08 — 12% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The eSports 2014 Summer Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from eSports 2014 Summer Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).

Price by quality

Compared with the Minimal Wear quality, the others go like this: Factory New — 6% dearer. The comparison uses our cheapest listing of each quality; where there is none, the market reference.

Among 8 skins of the MP7 in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

This skin has a the StatTrak™ version with a kill counter. Right now it is 1.8× dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Blue, white and silver stickers continue the cool palette of the finish, while holo and foil stickers match the metallic sheen of the receiver. Placing them on the side of the receiver keeps the foam pattern visible around them.

What to look at before you buy

  • Compare the float within the narrow range, since a low Minimal Wear copy can look identical to Factory New.
  • Inspect the front edges of the receiver and the area around the top rail, where scuffs appear first.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the blue body reads.
  • For StatTrak™ copies, check that the counter suits your plans.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a clean-looking blue MP7 for everyday matches.
  • Buyers looking for a budget entry into a skin that barely shows wear.
  • Conclusion: almost the same look in game, with a lower entry point.
